With over 30 years at the helm of his eponymous brand, Christian Louboutin is one of the most celebrated fashion designers on the planet, attracting worldwide attention for his lavish and distinctive footwear designs.

Mr Louboutin first began to make his mark in the industry by designing shoes for dancers at the Parisian cabaret Folies Bergère, before being taken under the wing of famed footwear designer Charles Jourdan. Opening his first boutique in 1991, Louboutin’s unmistakable talent for creating unique and beautiful shoes was almost immediately recognised amongst fashion’s elite.

Today, the brand is an empire, with Christian Louboutin’s signature red-lacquered outsole becoming one of the most identifiable trademarks in the fashion universe. In more recent times, the designer has diversified his portfolio to include handbags and men’s footwear.
